I use the palette knife to paint my art, this technique is called impasto. It is rich in texture, I enjoy applying thick layers of oil paint to the canvas using a palette knife. The thick layers build on the canvas giving a textured feel to the touch and to view.
The oil colours are an array of rich vibrant colours from green hues, soft gold, shades of pink, red, wheat, yellow shades, ombre, deep cobalt blue, shades of white and burnt orange and black.
Using oils gives a vibrancy to the painting.
