A charming floral Sadler, gold and cream, vintage large teapot.
The teapot is handpainted with 22kt gold gilt trim, set upon cream earthenware. 22kt gold gilt trim painting had been very popular in the staffordshire pottery industry, during the 1930s & 1940s.
The teapot with its pretty floral flowers set againt the engraved swirl pattern, is simply beautiful.
The flowers range from deep pinks to pastel pink and lilac, with green leaf, set against the cream and generous gold gilt trims. With a curved gold gilt large handle and strong spout holds a generous 1.75 pint capacity.
In good condition.
